Bibliography

The bibliography itself is a detailed list of reference information that we use in our writing. So, readers can confirm whether the quotations or data we use can be justified or not. Writing a bibliography also has provisions that the author must understand.

Example Bibliography & How to Write It Based on Sources

When writing a bibliography, you cannot be careless. There are several ways of writing that have their own characteristics based on the source. Let’s look at the discussion regarding examples of bibliography and how to write them based on sources as below.

What is a Bibliography?

Before we discuss how to write a bibliography, let’s discuss a little about the meaning of a bibliography itself. A bibliography is a list containing books, scientific works, or other sources used as references in writing, usually found in scientific research.

Other names for a bibliography are references, references, links, or library sources. Generally, this section is on the very last page of a scientific work.

In Indonesia, we usually use the format for writing a bibliography set by the American Psychological Association (APA). In 2019, APA released the latest guidelines for compiling bibliographies of various scientific works.

In the 7th edition of APA Style, several changes occurred, one of which was the removal of the name of the city or place of publisher in the bibliography. Here are some examples of writing a bibliography based on the source:
