On June 21 1970 in Jakarta, the first Father of the Republic of Indonesia died at the age of 69 years. He was buried in the city of Blitar, East Java.

There, Chairil began to pursue the world of literature. In 1942, he published his first poem, and Chairil continued to write. He served as the seventh Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia. Habibie’s mother is from Java, while his father is from Pare-Pare. He has had intelligence in technology and science, especially physics, since he was a child.

He studied Mechanical Engineering at ITB or the Bandung Institute of Technology for six months, and continued his education in Germany in 1955 at the Rhenisch Wesfalische Tehnische Hochscule. His studies were paid for by his mother, R.A. Tuti Marini Puspowardoyo.
It took young Habibie 10 years to complete his bachelor’s to doctoral studies in Aachen, Germany. Unlike most Indonesian students who received scholarships abroad, during their undergraduate and postgraduate studies, it was their mother who paid for their studies, Habibie’s mother ran a catering business and rented a house in Bandung as income to live on and pay for Habibie’s college fees.
While studying in Germany, Habibie studied aircraft design and construction at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. Taking five years to complete his studies in Germany, Habibie also received a Dilpom-Ingenenieur or engineering diploma with the best distinction or summa cum laude.
